Giving Up on Love
"Giving Up on Love'" is a pop–dance song performed by English singer Rick Astley and written by him-self. The song notably contradicts the theme of faithfulness to a lover Astley had been known for with songs like "Never Gonna Give You Up", "Whenever You Need Somebody" and "Together Forever", causing some to feel betrayed by Astley. It was produced by Daize Washbourn and Rick. The song was recorded for Astley's second album, Hold Me in Your Arms, which received many music critics from UK press. The single peaked at number 38 in US Billboard charts. Never was released as a single in UK. This North American-only single was released just prior to Astley's US Tour.
